Introducing The Custom Dye Project!

This service is meant to give new life to YOUR old threads through the magic of natural dyes.

How it works:

Have a look in your closet for garments or linens that are either faded, stained, or just not quite the colour of your dreams. Instead of sending them off to the thrift store to an unknown fate (most likely the landfill, especially if they are stained!) you can have your item custom dyed by me! In the spirit of reuse and shopping in our own closets to counteract fast fashion, this service is intended to extend the life of something you already own and adore.

There are 3 solid colour options to choose from (marigold, madder, or cutch), or you can choose to have your garment eco printed with a dyers choice arrangement of locally sourced botanicals.

I am able to dye only natural fibres - this means they need to be made from cotton, linen, hemp, silk, bamboo/rayon, or wool - no synthetic fabrics as they are not compatible with natural dyes!

Please note, I do not offer refunds and all custom work is required to be paid for in full before I get to work on it.

Well, custom work is notoriously a tricky thing to offer and I have heard devastating real life stories from artists not getting paid after pouring their hearts, souls, and hours into custom work because of a lack of communication and boundaries between themselves and the customer. SO that’s my boundary/policy to protect my time and energy as a small time artist. My commitment to you is that we will work together and communicate effectively to achieve your colour dreams, and I will take on the responsibility of making that happen! If ya don’t like them rules, ya don’t have to work with me!

Wish your special day could last forever? With our unique service, we can make that dream a reality. Your wedding (or special event) bouquet can be turned into an heirloom quality textile to adore for years to come.

Using eco printing techniques, I preserve your precious flowers, imprinting them into the soft texture of cloth. We can work collaboratively to bring you the product that your heart desires. Offering eco printed textiles such as silk scarves, silk robes, linen napkin sets, linen table runners or cotton wall hangings.

Flowers can be sent fresh or dried after your event. Please note that the colours of the blossoms or foliage don’t necessarily print the colours you might expect, natural colour is always a surprise! I use an iron mordant in the process and this can give hues of lavender, periwinkle, greys, greens, blues, ochre, and rusts. Each piece is unique and one of a kind. Ethereal heirloom treasures to hold close those fond memories.
